OSLO, NorwayRoxlor's ProGo showed significant benefits as a protein source in an unpublished TIM-1, in vitro study conducted by Hofseth Biocare ASA (HBC).

The study compared the hydrolyzed salmon protein ProGo to whey protein hydrolysate (WHP-HD) and whey protein isolate (WPI). Researchers discovered ProGo to have more than a 10-percent increase in protein absorption and a 7-percent increase in jejunal absorption. The product also showed faster absorption rates than WPH-HD and WPI.

A total of nitrogen aborption rate was 30 percent greater and total jejunal absorption rate was around 45 percent higher than other products. These results conducted from the study indicates that ProGo is better absorbed and faster absorbed than WPH-LD and WPI.

Last November 2012, HBC completed its Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) self-affirmation approval for ProGo.
