Mars Inc. to Acquire VCA Inc. for $9.1 Billion in Cash

Mars Inc. announced it will acquire and VCA Inc., a provider of pet health care services in the country delivered through nearly 800 small animal veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada, for approximately $9.1 billion in case. Upon completion of the deal, VCA will operate as a distinct and separate business unit within Mars Petcare, alongside its other Veterinary Services businesses, BANFIELD® Pet Hospital, BLUEPEARL® and PET PARTNERS™.
