Jarrow ~ Ideal Bowel Support 299v®

MONTREALInstitut Rosell-Lallemand announced California-based wellness and nutritional product company Jarrow Formulas® Inc. launched  Ideal Bowel Support 299v®, a new probiotic product based on clinically documented strain Lactobacillus plantarum 299v. Ideal Bowel Support 299v, manufactured by Institut Rosell-Lallemand, contains 10 billion organisms per vegetarian capsule and does not need refrigeration. It helps alleviate digestive discomfort, bloating, bouts of constipation, occasional diarrhea and supports the management of various bowel conditions.

L. plantarum 299vs action and set of benefits for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) patients are well documented and protected by different patents. A placebo-controlled randomized study showed intestinal discomfort was improved by up to 95 percent in patients (compared to 15 percent with placebo), while abdominal pain and bloating were also significantly decreased (Eur. J. Gastroenterol. 2001;(10):1143-7).
