NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--BioCell Collagen II, from BioCellTechnology, can improve the pain, stiffness and quality of life in subjects withosteoarthritis (OA), according to the company (www.biocelltechnology.com).This claim is based on results garnered from a placebo-controlled pilot study of16 men and women with OA who received the supplement for eight weeks; studyresults are being prepared for presentation at a national biomedical researchconference later this year.

"This preliminary study suggests that BioCell Collagen II has promise inthe management of chromic OA symptoms," said Eric Sheldon, M.D., a clinicalresearch investigator at Miami Research Associates.
