AVIGNON, France & BEDMINSTER, N.J.Followingthe acquisition of PureWorld Inc. by Naturex S.A. in mid-July, the two companieswill jointly exhibit at SupplySide West in Las Vegas this month. According toNaturex, the acquisition has enhanced the offerings and operations at Naturex.While the company previously supplied the NatActive® line of more than 300botanical extracts, the PureWorld acquisition enhanced the products available,adding ingredients such as maca, black cohosh, yerba mate, guarana andquintozene-free ginseng. PureWorld also holds a U.S. patent (No. 6,682,697) onits PurePowder technology, allowing sterilization of its botanical powderswithout use of ethylene oxide or irradiation. The combined Naturex/PureWorldoperation has industrial sites in California, New Jersey, France and Morocco.
