Pacific Rainbow Supplying USP Chondroitin

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.—Pacific Rainbow International (PRI) announced its Chinese chondroitin supplier, Yantai Dongcheng Biochemicals Co. Ltd., has received certification from the U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) for its chondroitin sulfate sodium (bovine) product. USP’s certification includes a review of GMPs (good manufacturing practices), analytical testing, and review of manufacturing and quality control documents. The 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility also meets ISO 9002 standards.

According to Herman Zhang, president of PRI: “With USP certification, our customers have the assurance that we’ve met the industry’s highest standards for quality, consistency of ingredients and strength, labeling and product storage. We’re proud to offer a chondroitin sulfate product that can make that claim.”
