Kin+Kind’s CBD Product Line is an organic, vegan, cruelty-free and vet-tested topical CBD available in foam, balm and ear applications, each with 200 mg of CBD. The balm contains organic coconut oil, beeswax, hemp seed oil and CBD, and can be used on dog/cat ears and paw pads, hot spots or achy joints. The ears product is to cleanse and calm.

On this Healthy Insider podcast, Kin+Kind’s owner Janine Ling discusses how the line is mixed by hand in the U.S., with U.S.-sourced hemp CBD and witch hazel to support CBD absorption. She also notes how the formulas contain various essential oils (bergamot, lavender, clary sage and Ho Wood) and natural oils (coconut, olive and glycerin) to help make the product spreadable.

With Sandy Almendarez, content director, INSIDER, Ling explains:

  • The origin of the products, complete with an adorable story about a Pitbull named Mishka.

  • How the company landed on a combination of CBD, witch hazel and essential oilis

  • Working with holistic vets to test the product for usability and efficacy.
