Mondelēz to acquire Perfect Snacks

Mondelēz International announced it is acquiring a majority interest in Perfect Snacks, a pioneer in the fast-growing refrigerated nutrition bars segment. With a range of refrigerated offerings including the Original Refrigerated Protein Bar, Perfect Snacks’ organic, non-GMO, nut-butter based protein bars and bites are a great addition to Mondelēz International’s portfolio of global and local brands which includes Oreo, Cadbury, Milka and belVita, as well as Tate’s.

Ardent Mills sells Canadian plant to Dawn Foods

Flour-milling and ingredient company Ardent Mills completed the sale of its ingredient mix facility in Burlington, Ontario, Canada to Dawn Food Products Inc., a global bakery ingredient manufacturer and distributor. Under terms of the deal, which closed June 21, Dawn Foods will take over the sweet ingredient business and expand its Canadian reach. Ardent Mills will continue to supply flour to this facility under Dawn’s ownership.

Bell Flavors & Fragrances gains organic flavors certification

Bell Flavors & Fragrances received official certification of the Bell Northbrook facility for the production of Organic Certified flavors. This certification includes more than 100 flavors from Liquid compounding, Spray Dry, and Dry Blend manufacturing areas.

Investor groups acquires Bragg Live Food Products

Health and wellness pioneer Bragg Live Food Products has been acquired by an investor group led by Swander Pace Capital, a leading private equity firm, Dragoneer Investment Group, a growth-oriented investment firm, and co-investors singer and songwriter Katy Perry, actor Orlando Bloom, and the founder of Pressed Juicery, Hayden Slater.

Founded in 1912 by Paul Bragg, the company’s portfolio of products includes apple cider vinegar, amino acids, nutritional yeast, dressings, seasonings and ready to drink (RTD) products.
