ATLANTAHuber Engineered Materials will launch two "super carrier" silicon dioxides, Zeofree®PLUS 5191 and Zeofree®PLUS 5193, at the IFT Annual Meeting + Food Expo in Chicago July 13 to 16, 2013.

Zeofree®PLUS 5191 and Zeofree®PLUS 5193 silicon dioxides provide carrying capacity for liquids while delivering anti-caking and free-flow properties for powdered food and industrial applications. ZeofreePLUS 5191 takes the form of spray-dried powder with an average particle size of 25 microns, while ZeofreePLUS 5193 is a milled powder conditioning agent with an average particle size of 14 microns. Both products provide a carrying capacity at three times their weight as liquids.

As our society becomes more mobile, the demand for convenience and on-the-go food products continues to soar," said Frank Burkus, global marketing director for Hubers silica business.  Our new ZeofreePLUS 5191 and 5193 grades set the bar in terms of performance for silicon dioxide carriers and free-flow agents and are the latest demonstration of Hubers commitment to enabling our customers to satisfy market trends."

Huber personnel will manage booth 3525 in Chicagos McCormick Place South to discuss the new silicon dioxides along with other anti-caking and free-flow agents, as well as silica grade deformers available for various food-related applications.

Huber also recently added to its manufacturing operation in Illinois to make way for more calcium carbonate granulation production.
