IADSA Presents Global Leadership Awards

BRUSSELS, BelgiumThe International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) recently awarded its first-ever Global Leadership Awards at its latest Annual General Meeting in Indonesia. The awards were given to Zubaidah Mahmud, chair of the ASEAN Traditional Medicines and Health Supplements Scientific Committee (ATSC), and John Hathcock, internationally renowned scientist.
Mahmud, from Brunei, Borneo has been the chair of ATSC since 2007 and was recognized for her work in creating comprehensive regional regulatory model for supplements. Hathcock has worked with the U.S. Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) for more than 20 years and was recognized for his contributions to the science of dietary supplement regulation.
IADSA is an international association focused on the globalization of food supplement markets. In April, the company's recommendations to evaluate magnesium stearate were approved by the Codex Committee on Food Additives for inclusion in its General Standard for Food Additives.
