Albion Awarded New ISO Certification

LAS VEGAS—NSF International (www.nsf.org) presented Albion Advanced Nutrition with ISO 9001:2000 certification at its 50th Anniversary reception at SupplySide West here in October. The ISO standard is recognized for establishing business management systems that focus on system performance and ongoing improvement. In becoming certified ISO 9001:2000, Albion met requirements based on eight quality management principles: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factbased decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.Albion (www.albion-an.com) stated, “It is [our] belief that by becoming ISO 9001:2000 and adhering to those standards, we will assure our customers that we will be constantly delivering improved quality of product through improved process quality.”
