Grain Processing Earns BRC Food Safety Certification

MUSCATINE, IowaGrain Processing Corporation (GPC) received certification from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards for Food Safety, an internationally recognized safety and quality certification program.

The BRC certification is a verification of GPCs long-term commitment to the highest quality and food safety standards," says Brian Tompoles, Vice President of Sales for GPC.

Both of GPCs ingredient manufacturing facilities, located in Muscatine, Iowa, and Washington, Indiana, received BRC certifications for maltodextrin and alcohol. GPC joins a network of over 14,000 BRC certified sites in over 100 countries.

The BRC Food Technical Standard are designed to assist retailers and manufacturers in identifying suppliers that produce food products at the highest standards of quality. BRC Global Standards are internationally recognized as part of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
