Indena Gains ISO14001 Certification

MILAN, Italy Indena was granted ISO14001 certification for its main production site here, guaranteeing the company has an adequate management system to control its environmental impact and to continually improve the environmental performance of its activities in a systematic, effective and sustainable way. ISO14001 certification is designed to induce compliance to certain standards to reduce a companys environmental footprint.

We are proud of having received the ISO14001 certification, said Lorenzo Palvarini, Indenas HSE manager. It validates our ongoing commitment to progressively reduce the environmental impact of our production activities.

Under the direction of an established environmental affairs committee, Indena adopted behaviors aimed at improving its environmental impact in its production sites and offices. Some of these efforts include reducing the consumption of water, optimizing and saving energy as well as reducing waste products.
