InSea2 Launching in Europe

RIMOUSKI, Quebec innoVactiv Inc. announced a co-marketing agreement with Algues & Mer, Ouessant Island, France, to launch InSea² in Europe. Under terms of the agreement, Algues & Mer will start commercialization of InSea² across Europe and innoVactiv will do so in the rest of the world. Algues & Mer submitted an application to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) last week for two health claims related to glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity, and is exhibiting this week at Vitafoods, Booth 300F.

Our two companies have been working together for years in the development of InSea², combining the scientific expertise of innoVactiv with the unique sourcing and manufacturing capabilities of Algues & Mer, said Patrice Dionne, CEO of innoVactiv. It is thus a logical step for us to work jointly with Algues & Mer, who have a deep knowledge of the ingredient and is willing to bring added value by filing a health claim under EFSAs new regulations. This agreement allows innoVactiv and Algues & Mer to join forces as exclusive suppliers of InSea².
