MONTREAL, CanadaCanadian Health Authorities recognized Lallemand Health Solutions (LHS) of Lallemand, a private company specializing in yeast and bacteria,  for its long dedication in substantiating health benefits of probiotics.

Five of LHS's probiotic formulas were recently approved by the Natural Heath Products Directorate (NHPD) with new condition specific health claims in digestive health, natural defenses and stress.

These claims were applied toward ProbioKid, which helps reinforce the body's natural defenses in children, and Probio'Stick, which helps reduce stress-related gastrointestinal complications like nausea. Protecflor received a claim of helping reduce the risk of traveler's diarrhea,  Lacidofil's claim stated it helping reduce risk of antibiotic associated diarrhea (AAD) and restores intestinal flora, and Lalflor also had a claim of helping reduce risk of AAD.

LHS was recently launched earlier this month by Lallemand as a new division specializing on international probiotic offerings. Learn more about probiotics.
