No Research Backs GenFXs Claims, Warns NAD

NEW YORKThe National Advertising Division (NAD)of the Council of Better Business Bureaus recommended Marabou Limited discontinue use of health claims for its GenFX dietary supplement because no research has been conducted the product itself, or on the combination of ingredients as they are formulated in GenFX.
Marabou claims GenFX, a dietary supplement that contains 12 purified amino acids, and herbal, plant and animal derived constituents, stimulates the bodys production of human growth hormone (HGH) but NAD noted evidence submitted by Marabou included studies of the individual ingredients in GenFX, and various combinations of those ingredients, but not on the product itself.
NAD found the claim Clinical tests prove it!" is unsupported and recommended that it be discontinued. NAD also recommended Marabou discontinue claims that suggest GenFX supplementation will yield benefits associated with naturally occurring HGH or FDA-approved HGH injections. In addition, NAD recommended Marabou discontinue listing the benefits of HGH, discontinue the challenged testimonials and discontinue safety claims. Finally, NAD found that the claims We think that this is the biggest breakthrough EVER in anti-aging does MORE than tens of thousands of $$ in plastic surgery, every known spa treatment and personal trainers combined," GenFX has been formulated to replenish your bodys lost levels of Youthfulness, Vitality, and Attractiveness!" and GenFX may be the very best overall anti-aging and revitalizing tonic ever!" are unsupported overstatements of the benefits of GenFX and recommended that they be discontinued.
The company, in its advertisers statement, said that it accepts NADs requests, and will amend its advertising accordingly. Marabou thanks NAD for its thorough analysis of the promotional materials and for its constructive suggestions."
