Transforming Breakfast: From Bars and Bowls to Burritos
Research points to the benefits of consuming a nutritious breakfast, but with consumers increasingly on the go, it’s up to developers to create healthful, functional breakfast products to meet the demands of busy lifestyles.
Consumers are drawn to ingredients such as protein, probiotics, fiber, vegetables and grains—as well as products with reduced sugar. Traditional breakfast fare rarely highlights these components, nor offers options featuring convenience, nutrition and great taste. However, the first meal of the day is getting a much-needed makeover.
