Danisco Acquires Flavor Specialist

NEW CENTURY, Kan.--Danisco A/S, a developer and producer of food ingredients, purchased Florida Flavors Inc., a family-owned producer of fruit flavors and components, for an undisclosed amount. "In the period ahead, we will continue consolidating our position in the ingredients business by boosting organic growth and making additional acquisitions in line with our defined growth strategy," said Alf Duch-Pedreson, chief executive officer of Dansico.

The acquisition of Florida Flavors gives Danisco the opportunityto broaden its product range and geographical coverage.
