HOERSHOLM, Denmark Chr. Hansen and partner Biofarma debut a new drinkable probiotic shot in a mini-bottle using DRYCAP® technology. The beverage solution combines BB-12® and fiber, and will debut at the CPhI 2013 event in Frankfurt, Germany, Oct. 22-24.

The probiotic shot contains Chr. Hansens probiotic strain BB-12, Bifidobacterium, with fiber in the form of fructooligosaccharides (FOS) to addresses gastrointestinal function and irregularities.

The combination probiotic and fiber comes in a 10ml liquid shot format. The probiotics are stored in the mini-bottle DRYCAP using patented technology manufactured by Biofarma. DRYCAP allows live probiotics in a dry environment, thereby preserving their documented health benefits.

At the beginning of this year, Chr. Hansen received the 2012 European Product Leadership Award in Probiotic from Frost & Sullivan for its pioneering work in probiotics.
