Evaluation of the Probiotic Food Supplement Probio-Stick onStress- Induced Symptoms in Healthy Volunteers

MONTREALStressful life eventsalter well-being and produce various disorders such as gastrointestinal,cardiovascular, social and psychological symptoms. A double blind,placebocontrolled, randomized study was conducted over a three-week period in 64healthy volunteers with symptoms of stress. All patients received either aprobiotic containing L. acidophilus Rosell-52 and B. longum Rosell-175(Probio-Stick) or a sensorially identical placebo without probiotics. Resultsindicate Probio-Stick can provide a beneficial effect on gastrointestinalsymptoms of patients with chronic stresses.
