SPI Pharma Increases Prices

NEW CASTLE, Del.SPI Pharma is increasing off-list pricing for its line of excipients and antacid products by 8 percent to 15 percent, effective Oct. 1. Affected products include mannitol, sorbitol, specialty excipients, aluminum and magnesium hydroxide, gels, and powders. According to SPI Pharma, the increase was necessitated by increasing demands to adhere to GMP (good manufacturing practice) standards as well as increases in costs for raw materials, energy, labor and transportation.
