GARDENA, Calif.—Changsung Softgel Inc. and its U.S. distributor Chris Hillseth Enterprises will introduce new product launches to the U.S. market during a sneak-peek factory visit on September 10 through September 12.
Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Korean manufacturer’s newly updated facilities, and also get a look at never-before-revealed softgel technology.
“We feel it is important to keep our U.S. customers up-to-date and aware of the great advancements happening in Korea," said Chris Hillseth, president and CEO of Chris Hillseth Enterprises. “Because some of these machines won’t be officially available in the United States until November, we’re excited to offer the opportunity to US softgel manufacturers to see what’s coming up, and plan ahead."
During the factory preview, Changsung representatives will be showcasing their brand-new, high-speed servo-drive machine, a recently updated Oluscaps© vegetable capsule machine, and demonstrating their revolutionary Gel Reclaim System. Customers will also receive a detailed walk-through of the Changsung facilities, which were updated in 2010.
The servo-drive machine is an update to the Changsung 650R encapsulation machine. The servo-drive replaces the need for a gearbox, and it improves the precision of the machine exponentially. It automatically programs the motors of the machines, without an operator’s assistance, thereby eliminating human error and backlash. Additionally, the machine requires minimal maintenance, and it can be set up within minutes. When compared to its competitor servo-drive machines, the Changsung model is less expensive, easier to clean, and it includes options for customization – including bigger die rolls. This machine is currently only available in Korea, and it is slated to come to the United States in November 2014.
Customers that attend the showcase will also be learning about updates to Changsung’s Oluscaps© vegetable capsule machine, and they will see the Gel Reclaim System in action. The Gel Reclaim System is designed to recover gelatin scrap during the encapsulation process, and turns it into a 99.9-percent pure gelatin solution. This technology has not yet been implemented in the United States.
Chris Hillseth Enterprises will be showcasing Changsung technology at the Supply Side West Expo (booth 26153), October 8 to 9, 2014, in Las Vegas, and at Pharma Expo 2014 (booth 925), November 2 to 5, 2014, in Chicago, Illinois.
