Abitec Introduces Products, Hires Cosmetic Lab Manager

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Abitec Corp. announced three new products: Captex 500, ABI-LATUM SC and ABI-LIN D. Captex 500, a triacetin, can be used as a solvent for flavors and fragrances and can be mixed with alcohol and oils. ABI-LATUM SC is a vegetable oil alternative for petrolatum and can be used in cosmetic and personal care formulations. ABI-LIN D is also a vegetable oil alternative, but for lanolin. This product can function as an emulsifier and pigment wetter and carrier, eliminating the need for roller mills to disperse solid pigments.

Abitec also hired Monna Manning as its cosmetic applications lab manager. Her responsibilities include incorporating Abitec ingredients into personal care and cosmetic formulations, as well as being a resource for cosmetic chemistry.
