DSM Features New Platforms at Vitafoods

GENEVADSM Nutritional Products will offer samples its new and existing health and nutrition ingredients through a range of shot drinks at this years Vitafoods, including two new Health Benefit Solutions: Essentials for Kids and Teens and Essentials for Men.

DSMs new Health Benefit Solutions comprise of a range of vitamins, minerals and functional ingredients formulated to meet the specific nutritional requirements of children and men.

Also at stand 400 will be DSMs heart health ingredient, Fruitflow®, a scientifically substantiated solution for the promotion of healthy blood flow. Fruitflow won the heart health and overall innovation categories at Health Ingredients Europe 2010. It was also the first ingredient to receive an approved Article 13(5) health claim from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). 

These platforms complement DSMs existing portfolio of 12 Health Benefit Solutions, which includes: Guard your Heart, Upgrade your Vision and Empower your mind. Ingredients are available on their own or as a customised, pre-prepared Quali® -Blends premix.

In addition to its ingredient portfolio, DSM also helps manufacturers throughout the new product development process. On May 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., DSM will host a presentation by Peter Wennström at their booth with a focus on developing consumer relevant functional foods using his renowned FourFactors® Brand Analysis System. These presentations will be complemented by individual workshops where customers will be given the chance to discuss their specific needs and questions. On Friday, May 13, DSM is collaborating with Peter Wennström again to offer a VIP FourFactors® master class to selected customers to demonstrate how they can use the FourFactors® to communicate health benefits effectively with or without using a health claim.
