Ethical Naturals Releases Ginkgo QC Report

SAN ANSELMO, Calif.Ethical Naturals developed a new report, GinkgoBiloba Extract: Brand QC Analytical Report, based on independent analysesperformed by Eurofins and with an extensive review from the American HerbalPharmacopeia (AHP). According to Cal Bewicke, president of Ethical Naturals(www.ethicalnaturals.com), the company worked with a major manufacturer of Ginkgobiloba on the history and methods of ginkgo adulteration. Eurofins tested 22 ginkgo extracts, and AHP developed a report based on itsGinkgo Monograph and other sources, giving a pass or fail rating.

The downside to this report is the extent and depth of the problem itrevealedhow many products were affected, Bewicke said. The upside is that it identifies the problems and how theycan be quite easily detected.
