CHINO, Calif.—Fenchem Inc. announced it enhanced the testing method it uses to evaluate Ginkgo biloba extract to better guarantee purity and level of actives. According to the company, it has been looking for a new testing method to ensure the ginkgo it sources has not been adulterated with alternate flavonoids; the new method can determine the ratio of two ginkgo flavonoid monomers to ascertain quality. Fenchem supplies ginkgo extract as Ginktone™, extracted from Chinese ginkgo leaves between three and five years of age.
