OSAKA, JapanNippon Supplement introduced two new ingredients. Touchi Extract (TE) inhibits a-glucosidase and suppresses blood glucose elevation after meal. Nippon Supplements proprietary TE can support healthy blood glucose levels; studies have found continued use of TE for two months can reduce fasting blood glucose levels and may also reduce blood triglyceride levels. Nippon Supplement also offers Black Tea Extract (BTE), which inhibits pancreatic lipase and moderates absorption of lipids from the intestine, positively supporting weight loss. BTE is obtained from Chinese black tea, known as Pu-erh tea, which is prepared by fermentation of green tea with kouji. BTE is natural and self-affirmed GRAS (generally recognized as safe); it is water-soluble and can be used in dietary supplements and food/beverage products.
