MEMPHIS, Tenn.--HUMKO Rice Specialties introduced E-8, a distilled, natural blend of vitamin E and tocotrienols developed using a patented process from Japanese rice bran oil. Some studies have suggested tocotrienols have cholesterol-lowering properties. "We really see a need among marketers of dietary supplements for a low-cost source of tocotrienols to leverage consumer demand for value-priced or private-label products," said Terry Johnson, national accounts manager.
