LOS ANGELESViSalus is innovating breakfast with the launch of its patent pending, high-protein, high-fiber cereal, Vi Crunch Protein Super Cereal, that delivers maximum nutrition.

Cereal is one of the most popular breakfast foods. While studies have shown that skipping breakfast can increase the risk of hear disease, most cereals are high in sugar. ViSalus' new cereal offers the ready-to-eat cereal category a nutritious product that contains no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or preservatives and that's low in sugar, sodium and fat. The cereal includes 12 grams of Fi-Sorb protein blend from five sources of protein, 5 grams of prebiotic fiber, antioxidants, grape seed, rosemary extract and vitamins and minerals. Utilizing the company's Sweet Cream flavor, the cereal  has only 3 grams of sugar per serving and has zero trans fats. It's also cholesterol-free, gluten-free, wheat-free and kosher.

"Over the past 100 years, there has been little innovation in the cereal category," said Ryan Blair, CEO at ViSalus. "We are challenging breakfast foods that have high sugar, salt and fat content by offering a nutritionally dense cereal that tastes great without ingredients that have a detrimental impact on human health."

Additionally, the company will offer its Vi Crunch Fusions, two flavorful and nutritious toppings offered in Chocolate Macadamia Nut and Tri-Berry Puffs flavors. The toppings add a burst of flavor, crunch and additional nutrients to your breakfast. They can be eaten right out of the package as a snack or sprinkled on cereal, yogurt, shakes or other breakfast foods. Vi Crunch Protein Super Cereal and Vi Crunch Fusions will initially be available as an add-on order to the Body by Vi 90-Day Challenge kits, with plans for their inclusion in expanded Fit, Transformation, Core, Shape and Balance Kits in early 2014.
