New Nutrient Premixes For Foods, Beverages

NEW YORKFortitech, Inc., and DSM partnered to offer a range of food and beverage formulations, including nutrient premixes for coffee and tea as well as chocolate and biscotti, and will exhibit the new products at the IFT 2013 Expo.

Attendees will be offered a samples that are packed with a variety of nutrients that can aid in the management of specific health concerns or help to fill nutrient gaps within diets. Samples include the company's Antioxidant Gourmet Coffee, a coffee premix that's fortified with antioxidants A, C and E, as well as vitamin D3 and is included in an instant coffee stick pack for a convenience morning pick-me-up. Also offered is a ready-to-drink Peach Tea formulated for healthy aging. The tea contains nutrients like resveratrol, CoQ10, zinc, chromium and B vitamins to support several aspects of aging including cardiovascular health, blood sugar management and energy. The product was developed to deliver nutrients, flavors, colors, stabilizers and sweeteners in one complete powdered solution. Utilizing PowderCap® technology, the premix is available in a universal cap that fits any regular-size water bottle.

The companies also will feature indulgent, yet healthy treat samples. Its baked Brain Boosting Biscotti is formulated with DHA, phosphatidylserine, choline, calcium and vitamins A, C, E and D3 to support cognitive function. And its, Relaxation Chocolate Bars feature dark chocolate infused with a combination of nutrients like GABA, magnesium, L-theanine and L-tryptophan.
