BANGALORE, IndiaOlive Lifesciences debuted a new website for its branded product SALCITAL, a standardized extract of Salacia reticulata. New research published in the Journal of Medicinal Food backs the ingredient's pre-diabetes management and moderate hyperlipidemia benefits (J Med Food. doi:10.1089). According to the randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study, Salacia extract reduced low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and fasting blood sugar after three and six weeks. The ingredient can be formulated in dietary supplements, beverages and nutrition bars.

The company launched phytostandards.com, a website with pythoreference standards for researchers, academic institutions and the herbal industry, in October 2013.
