Pronova Signs License Agreement for Omacor® inAsia
LYSAKER, NorwayPronovaBiocare signed an additional license and supply agreement with SolvayPharmaceuticals for OMACOR®, a pharmaceutical product containing highlypurified omega-3-acid ethyl esters. Solvay now holds exclusive distributionrights for India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia,China, Hong Kong and New Zealand; this is in addition to Solvays existingOMACOR franchise in Europe and the Middle East.
OMACOR is registered in more than 30 countries for adjuvanttreatment in secondary prevention after myocardial infarction and for treatmentof increased blood triglyceride levels or hypertriglyceridemia.
