Six Foods That May Lower Blood Pressure

Grape Seed Extract, being rich in proanthocyanidins, has shown efficacy in healthy blood pressure compared to diet-only and lifestyle modifications.
Nuts, especially walnuts, have been shown to help the body cope with stress by lowering both the resting blood pressure and blood pressure responses to stress.
About 8 ounces of beetroot juice has been shown to lower high blood pressure as well. Vegetables with high dietary nitrate content, such as beetroot, might improve ones cardiovascular health.
While research is still being done to determine if dairy has an impact on lowering blood pressure, some studies have shown that consuming low-fat dairy products have been demonstrated to reduce elevated blood pressure.
Snack on some raisins three times a day and your blood pressure may decrease as well. During a 12-week randomized controlled study, 46 men and women with pre-hypertension were randomly assigned to snack California Raisins or pre-packaged commercial snack that contained no raisins. After the study, the data gathered showed a significantly lower systolic blood pressure in those who consumed raisins.
Adding flaxseed to ones diet may help reduce the incidence of heart attacks and strokes by 50% and decrease blood pressure significantly.
Eating healthy foods is important to staying fit, young and high blood pressure free. Picking up some raisins or drinking a glass of low-fat milk may lower your chances at taking medicine and living a long life.
