TSI Gains Support for MSV 60® Material

MISSOULA, Mont.TechnicalSourcing International Inc. (TSI) announced a new medicine approved by the StateFood and Drug Administration (SFDA) of China for the potential treatment ofangina features the same active ingredient as TSIs MSV 60® dietaryingredient.

Both items are standardized to the same constituentmagnesiumsalvianolate B from the Chinese herb Dan Shen (Salviamiltiorrhiza)though the TSI material contains 60percent of the active component and is an oral powder.

MSV 60 was introduced to the U.S. market in 1999 by TSI, whichpromoted the ingredient for the support of cardiovascular health. TSI wasawarded a U.S. patent (No. 6,299,910) for MSV 60 in 2001, covering thecomposition of the specialty compound. The approval of the new Chinese medicine,which features the same active compound as MSV 60, provides additional evidenceto support the efficacy of TSIs dietary supplement ingredient in the supportof cardiovascular health.
