Aloecorp Hosts Grand Opening of New Facility

LYFORD, TexasAloecorp, aleading supplier of Aloe vera materials,held a special event at its new manufacturing facility here, celebrating thecompletion of the $2.6 million property and facilities renovation. The moveincluded adding an 18,500-square-foot manufacturing facility and beautificationof the companys Hilltop Gardens. The land is believed to have housed thefirst ever aloe plantation in the United States and is pending designation as ahistorical site by the state of Texas.

The 100-acre Hilltop Gardens site includes the ownersoriginal residence, which has been refurbished, as well as a corporate retreatand conference center that is under construction. The site also includes a15-acre garden showcasing more than 30,000 plants including Aloevera and other aloe species.

The new manufacturing facility was designed to meet cGMPs(good manufacturing practices) for dietary supplements. It features sanitarywalls, ceilings, floors and lighting and incorporated a high-rise warehouse.Quality assurance/quality control laboratories are located on site, along withseparate chemical and microbiological testing labs. In addition, Aloecorps administrative offices are on-site.
