SHANGHAI, China—Following publication of a study investigating different antioxidant xanthones from mangosteen, Cactus Botanics determined it could produce a range of mangosteen extract products. The company is now offering ingredients with levels of alpha-mangostin—a primary antioxidant—of 10 percent, 25 percent and 50 percent. Cactus Botanics (www.catcusbotanics.com) is also now producing zeaxanthin, extracted from marigolds, with a specification range is from 10 percent to 50 percent, as tested by HPLC.
