Among the botanical extracts included are Asparagusracemosus (known as Shatavari) a female tonic and aphrodisiac; Cissusquadrangularis, which enables uptake of minerals such as calcium; and Withaniasomnifera (known as ashwagandha), an antiinflammatory, immunostimulant,nervine tonic and aphrodisiac. In an open trial of 30 patients, Femniaalleviated many unpleasant symptoms of menopause, the company said.
