IASC Celebrates 25th Anniversary

IRVING, Texas—The International Aloe Science Council (IASC) is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, looking back at a history in which awareness of and scientific knowledge about aloe vera has grown considerably. For example, aloe juice from the aloe leaf contains only 0.5-percent solids, which delivers 200 synergistic constituents. IASC certifies aloe raw material and finished products containing aloe as an ingredient; certified products can carry the IASC logo. In addition, the organization held its annual scientific seminar in Dallas in early September, continuing to explore the array of scientific research conducted on this “miracle” plant.
