Organic, Non-GMO Erythritol Sweetener

SANTA CRUZ, Calif.Marroquin Organic International launched certified organic, non-GMO erythritol, a zero-calorie sugar alcohol derived from fermentation for use in baked goods, beverages, confection and oral health products.

The erythritol ingredient offers 70% of the sweetness of sugar with no bitter aftertaste, no negative intestinal effects and does not cause tooth decay.

"We now have another non-GMO sweetener that meets the demand for non-GMO-labeled products. It is satisfying to know that a broader market for sweet, finished products will translate into more acreage being put into organic production," said Grace Marroquin, CEO and president, Marroquin Organic International.
