ADM Awarded Isoflavone Patent

DECATUR, Ill.--Archer Daniels Midland Co.(ADM) was assigned U.S. Patent No. 6,261,565 for preparing and using isoflavones for a range of nutraceutical applications. The method was invented by two ADM scientists and covers plant-derived compositions enriched with at least two phytochemicals from a group consisting ofisoflavones, lignans, saponins, catechins and phenolic acids.
