Biopolymer Announces Settlements

EAGAN, Minn.Biopolymer Engineering announced reaching settlementsin its patent infringement suits against Levapan S.A. and Savoury SystemsInternational Inc. Under terms of the agreement, filed in U.S. District Court inMinnesota, the two companies recognize the validity of Biopolymers patentsrelated to beta-1,3/1,6 glucan and agree not to sell yeast-based beta-1,3/1,6glucan products in the United States.
