Carrington Sues Abundant Health for Trademark Infringement

IRVING, TexasCarringtonLaboratories Inc. filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Springfield,Mo.-based Abundant Health & Wellness and its owner, Wesley Delport. Thelawsuit, which was filed Sept. 30 in U.S. District Court for the NorthernDistrict of Texas, seeks damages and injunctive relief for infringement of theManapol mark.

Carrington has more than 120 patents issued, allowed orpending in 26 countries covering composition of matter, process and use,including a patent for Manapol powder. It is evident from inspection ofAbundant Health & Wellness products ... that it has violated the Manapoltrademark, said Carlton Turner, Ph.D., president and chief executive officerof Carrington Labs (www.carringtonlabs.com). We will take appropriate legalaction to protect our property and our reputation as a quality supplier.Turner added the company is investigating additional companies that may beinfringing on the Manapol mark, and will take further legal action as necessary.
