Cyanotech Files Patent Application

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii--Cyanotech filed a U.S. patent application for its brand of astaxanthin, BioAstin, and its effects on muscle soreness and recovery time. In a preliminary study, Cyanotech found that volunteers taking 2 to 4 mg per day for five to seven days prior to strenuous exercise reported significantly reduced muscle soreness.
