Inter-Cal Receives Ester-C^®Patent

PRESCOTT, Ariz.--Inter-Cal Nutraceuticals, a division of Zila Inc., has been awarded a patent for its Ester-C^® Topical Concentrate. The U.S. patent (#6,197,813) covers the "liquid compositions" that are non-acidic and contain a mineral ascorbate and an organic polyol solvent. The patent also protects liquid compositions that contain vitamin C metabolites. The Ester-C^® Topical Concentrate is used in skin creams and lotions for such companies as Aubrey Organics, Derma-E, Jason and Kiss My Face.
