Naturex Releases Statement on Piperine Suit

MAMARONECK, N.J.Naturex Inc.released a statement on the successful conclusion of a patent infringementlawsuit filed against Naturex by Sabinsa Corp. Under terms of the June 16 courtjudgment, Sabinsas U.S. patent on piperine was found valid; Naturex agreed tocease selling piperine for specific uses covered by Sabinsas patent; Sabinsawithdrew its allegations that Naturex infringed the U.S. patent; andNaturex withdrew its counterclaims regarding unfair competition.

Jacques Dikansky, president of Naturex, stated he was, extremelygratified by the result and by the vindication of his companys position.
