BEDFORD, Nova ScotiaOcean Nutrition Canada introduced Respondin, a possible oral adjuvant to influenza vaccination. According to the company, the product is a patented Immune Response Modifier (IRM), which means it is able to normalize immune response during times of depressed or heightened immune activity. Recently, Respondin was shown to enhance immune response in human subjects by elevating antibody levels associated with the influenza vaccine, the company said.
