LAS VEGAS--OptiPure launched Venetron, anherbal extract developed and manufactured by Tokiwa Phytochemical Co. Ltd.,during the recent SupplySide West show here. Venetron is an extract from Apocynumvenetum L., also known as Asian dogbane. According to OptiPure (www.optipure.com),studies have shown it acts as an antidepressant and promotes cardiovascularhealth. The patent-pending extract contains no less than 4 percent of theflavonoid glycosides isoquercitrin and hyperoside.
