Phytomedics Receives Patent Allowance for PEITC
DAYTON, N.J.--Phytomedics(www.phytomedics.com) announced it received an allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for"Phenylethylisothiocyanate (PEITC) Nutraceutical Compositions and Methods." According to the company, the method permits enhanced production ofPEITC, a chemoprotective agent, within fresh plant tissue.
"The resulting nutraceutical formulation produced with the proprietary technology is safe, efficacious and oriented toward patient compliance," said Bertold Fridlender, Phytomedics' chief executive officer. "Consequently, a dietary supplement formulation will be launched in the coming months in partnership with a major nutraceutical company."
