Renaissance Herbs

CHATSWORTH, Calif.--Renaissance Herbs announced that it is offering 50 percent and 60 percent HCA Proposition 65-compliant grades of its HCActive brand of calciumhydroxycitrate. These extracts contain less than 1 ppm of lead as tested by two independent laboratories utilizingICP-MS. In addition, Renaissance Herbs announced EpiPure brand standardized Epimedium Spp. extract (horny goat weed). EpiPure is standardized to 10 percent and 25 percent icariin content as tested byHPLC.

In related news, Renaissance Herbs (www.renaissanceherbs.com) reported that its two U.S. patents have been combined for all foreign PCT patent applications and was recently approved by the European Patent Office. The patent covers the specific use of an ion-exchange-purified standardized garcinia extract in the free acid form of HCA for use in various products that includes a lipogenesis modifier for either weight loss or sports nutrition.
