SGTI Receives New U.S. Patent

LOS ANGELESSoft GelTechnologies Inc. (SGTI) was awarded U.S. Patent No. 6,784,206 for its GlucoTrim® soft gelatin capsuleformulation. GlucoTrim is a standardized extract of banaba leaf (Lagerstroemiaspeciosa L.) containing 1 percent or 3 percentcorosolic acid and tannins including Lagerstromine. Additional patents coverGlucoTrims use in nutraceutical applications for weight loss and blood sugarmaintenance. SGTI and its sister company, OptiPure, are the exclusive source forGlucoTrim in soft gelatin capsules or in powder for tablet and two-piece hardshell encapsulation.

This additional patent strengthens SGTIs position as aleading source for unique, clinically proven, effective nutraceuticals, saidRon Udell, president of SGTI (www.soft-gel.com). Udell added there have been three human clinical trialscompleted using GlucoTrim and a fourth trial underway.
